Corporate accounts are bank accounts used by businesses, companies, and organizations for business operations and transactions.

These accounts are mainly used for:

  • Salary payments
  • Vendor payments
  • Business transactions
  • Collections
  • Treasury operations

Examples:

  • Company current account
  • Business settlement account
  • Corporate salary account

Corporate Deposits

Corporate deposits are the money deposited by companies or businesses into the bank through corporate accounts.

Examples:

  • Company operational balances
  • Corporate fixed deposits
  • Treasury funds
  • Business cash reserves

Simple Understanding

  • Corporate Account = The company’s banking account
  • Corporate Deposit = The money stored by companies in those accounts

Example:

If ABC Pvt Ltd keeps:

  • ₹5 crores in a current account
  • ₹20 crores in a corporate FD

Then:

  • The current account and FD account are called Corporate Accounts
  • The ₹25 crores kept in the bank are called Corporate Deposits
